Selected recent news from the UK's prudential regulator: 

On 23 November, the PRA and FCA jointly published a consultation paper setting out the proposed authorisation and supervision regime for insurance special purpose vehicles (ISPVs). This should be read alongside HM Treasury’s consultation document on the proposed regulatory framework for insurance linked securities (ILS). ISPVs allow "the transfer of risk from an insurer or reinsurer to the capital markets via the issuance of insurance linked securities".
