Selected recent news from the UK's conduct regulator:
On 26 October, the FCA published their Mission Paper, which "will inform the FCA’s strategy and day-to-day work over the coming years," seeking both thoughts on the issues therein and answers to a large number of specific questions. The regulator intends the document to explain how they interpret their objectives and use the tools at their disposal to achieve their aims. The paper states that they will issue a call for evidence seeking views of the FCA's Handbook and particularly where clarification would be useful.
In the introduction to October's regulation round-up, the FCA's Director of Policy flags the recent Feedback Statement on firms' communications and the further disclosure work to which the regulator has committed.
