European Insurance: General (19 June 2017)

OAC Digest
EU / European Parliament / EIOPA, Life insurance, Non-Life

19 June 2017

Selected recent European Insurance news items of more general interest:

On 15 June, EIOPA published its Annual Report 2016. This is largely of historical interest - being a review of 2016 - and the regulator's future work programme has been detailed previously in their first Single Programming Document published last year (see "European Insurance: General (10 October 2016)"). The Chairman states "The Authority will build on these achievements in 2017 as we consolidate our position as a credible supervisory authority, by prioritising the convergence of supervisory practices and playing a role in advancing the European Commission’s agenda in areas such as the Capital Markets Union."
