Penny has extensive General Insurance knowledge across multiple lines of business, specialising in pricing, reserving and capital modelling. She enjoys the commercial aspect of being an actuary, helping insurers make sense of all the numbers and thus enabling them to make the best business decisions.
She completed her actuarial exams in 2014 and joined OAC in 2019. Since joining OAC she has completed SII regulatory reporting requirements for several General Insurance clients, reviewed the profitability of new lines of business and assisted clients in updating their rate plans.
Prior to joining OAC Penny gained a wide variety of General Insurance reserving and pricing experience; working in various roles “inhouse” for international insurers and a Lloyds syndicate.
Penny has worked with people from various disciplines and is a great communicator. She is naturally inquisitive and is not afraid to speak up, but most of all Penny enjoys finding (and sharing) potential solutions to problems.
Penny lives with her family in Essex, where she enjoys interior design, playing badminton and walking her dog, Rosie.
