She became an Associate Tutor with the University of East Anglia (UEA) in 2008. Alongside preparing and delivering lectures on life and general insurance topics, Deborah helped establish the UEA Actuarial Science degree.
Deborah trained at National Provident Institution (NPI) where she was employed for 14 years, gaining experience in a variety of actuarial environments and on a range of projects. She eventually specialised in product development and was promoted to lead the company’s actuarial product development team.
Outside of work, Deborah is very involved in the local church as treasurer amongst other roles, and enjoys knitting and doing "difficult" jigsaws.
