OACis Calculations and complaint management software

OAC actuaries have drawn upon industry-leading experience of loss and redress calculation to develop a sound methodology which is being constantly evolved to include new scenarios and bases as they emerge, whether through precedent, experience or new cases, or regulatory guidance.

The OACis Calculations software suite is available on licence with calculator packages designed to meet the needs of a wide range of regulatory investment review or complaint types, including:

  • Endowment and pension mortgages;
  • Occupational pension transfers
  • Pension switching;
  • Pension opt-outs;
  • SERPS/SP2;
  • FSAVCs – money purchase and added service; and
  • Payments accumulations.

OACis Complaint Handling Expert System (OCHES) is a complete case management system that enables the handling of complaints from start to finish, in a controlled yet versatile environment, where:

  • a pre-determined sequence of events is applied to all cases;
  • standards are maintained across cases; and
  • an audit trail exists for the total process, including all of the component actions.

OCHES facilitates and links a number of component parts which can be free-standing, although the real power and benefit is achieved when all the component parts are used together.

Proven platform

The OACis Calculations suite is built on the tried and tested OACis platform that has been in use across the industry for over 10 years and provides rigid audit and case tracking controls, comprehensive management reporting and full support for collaborative working.

OACis Calculations provides a clear and simple input procedure with intelligent and context-sensitive help. Partially completed cases can be stored for every run of every calculation and are accessible immediately through an on-screen list of all past calculations.

Updates and enhancements are automatically installed over a direct and secure link via the Internet to OAC's servers. All calculator engine versions are retained for audit control such that any past calculation can be precisely reproduced and, if necessary, rerun on a newer version of the calculation engine or with amended inputs.

Database reporting facilities can be used to prepare summaries that combine inputs and results from any number of calculations, and a spreadsheet showing the full workings of a calculation, present or past, can be generated at the click of a button.
