OAC Actuaries and Consultants is an award-winning independent actuarial and financial services consultancy providing advice and support to clients throughout the UK and abroad.

Our services
OAC provides a comprehensive range of actuarial services, including regulatory controlled functions, to the life insurance, pensions and investment industries. We also carry out audit and compliance projects and provide independent review of projects that have been completed internally.
In order to meet the more complex requirements of financial institutions, OAC has developed the Mo.net financial modelling platform. Mo.net is a highly flexible and efficient modelling tool, exploiting the most up-to-date software and systems technology available, and is specifically designed to provide complete and comprehensive solutions to today's reporting requirements, including Solvency 2. With fully featured dynamic and stochastic modelling capabilities, Mo.net helps to ensure firms meet their long term financial modelling requirements with confidence.
OAC has built an extensive range of tools that are capable of supporting the requirements of our clients in performing individual financial reviews, compensation and financial redress calculations.
OAC is well versed in all aspects of business or regulatory reviews and the associated compliance and regulatory issues. While we are able to provide the tools for clients to perform their own calculations we are also able to provide a full range of outsourcing services, from carrying out redress calculations to the handling of complaints from cradle to grave. OAC also provides a range of audit services where the client requires independent quality assurance and we have been appointed several times to prepare "Skilled Person" reports for the financial regulator.
We recognise that the effective use of contractors is often an important element in the overall resourcing plan for many companies so, alongside our traditional professional consultancy offering, we also provide actuarial and specialist technical interim resourcing solutions.
We act as expert witnesses in litigation and disciplinary proceedings where the issues are technical life insurance, pensions or investment matters.

Our working environment
OAC has pioneered a wholly teleworking business model with staff based at their homes and without any need for the traditional office environment. Instead, staff are supported by a highly developed and much acclaimed electronic infrastructure, built with collaboration and control at its centre.
This enables OAC to employ leading expert knowledge from a nationwide pool of experienced and motivated people, helping us to deliver a very high quality service to clients. We have procedures that mean our staff work effectively and at the same time benefit from a much healthier work-life balance, while also making a major positive impact on environmental issues.
Although consultants are physically remote, they are in constant communication with clients and colleagues for the purposes of accessing documentation, sharing knowledge, joint problem solving, peer review, and teamwork generally.
In recognition of our innovative management and approach OAC has been granted honorary membership of the Henley Management College Future Work Forum and won the "Better Ways of Working" category of the National eWell-Being Awards 2006/07. A citation from the panel of 22 judges said:
